DESCRIPTION: \n\n \nWe are very lucky in the east end to have an abundance of naturalized green space in our community. With these natural areas it also means that there is plenty of wildlife in the area. While we are used to seeing raccoons, skunks, and even the odd deer or moose, we must also be conscious of another resident animal – coyotes.\nThis time of the year is also when we will see more coyotes out and about at is when coyotes are looking to mate.\nIn order to safely share our greenspaces and respect wildlife, it is important that we have the facts on how to safely coexist with these animals, and what should do when we see an animal exhibiting threatening behaviour.\nThis information session will provide an opportunity for residents to learn more about coyotes and have a chance to pose questions to the experts.\nMake sure to RSVP to Laura.Dudas@Ottawa.ca ( mailto:Laura.Dudas@Ottawa.ca ).\nIn the meantime, here are some additional tips from the City of Ottawa on what you can do if you encounter a coyote: ottawa.ca/en/living-ottawa/environment/wildlife/contacts-wild-life-issues#coyotes\n
